As long as you're healthy, eating well and taking good care of yourself, and aren't having any kind of pain, you're doing fine. *Many* women have unassisted births (meaning no doctor interference, no midwife, and no assistance during labour, or very minimal assistance by a midwife or doula), and they usually go marvelously. Actually, a woman never has to set foot in a hospital in regards to her pregnancy and birth, if she doesn't wish to. As long as there is proof that she was pregnant (such as the child's other parent, or anyone who has been with the mother throughout her pregnancy giving a statement- even photographs or video of the birth), you can just go get a birth certificate after the child is born. People panic about pregnancy and childbirth as if it's some horrific illness. Women have been giving birth since before recorded time. The body knows how.

But no, as long as you're doing well and having no problems like spotting blood or pain, you're fine. :)

It is not a good idea. I would try and get a doctor as soon as possible. Try and go to the health department or sign up for medicaid. Get a doctor expecially if this is your first baby. Some people do unassisted births. Oh and I will tell you something the medicaid people won't--go ahead and get a doctor and file for medicaid. If it is approved they will back date the application for the month you filed. If you want a doctor then go ahead and make an appointment. If you wait too long then a doctor won't take you. Try and find one who will take you for little money down if it is a problem.

Also, just because someone doesn't have a doctor does not mean they don't care about the well-being and safety of their baby. Things happen. I went round and round with the health department and medicaid office. I was finally approved for medicaid, they back dated the coverage. Unfortanately I was too far along. NO doctor I called would take me as I was so far along. The health department finally will take me, but the next appointment time is a month away and I will have the baby by then. I called every ob\gyn and midwife in the phone book. I was too far along in my area at 7 months. I did try and get an appointment with a doctor when I was first pregnant, unfortanately they wanted me to pay $200-$400 before they would see me. Yes I am worried about my baby, but I have had two healthy pregnancy's and hoping this one is healthy as well.

I would recommend a doctor. Expecially if it is your first baby.

Its ofcourse dangerous....you should see the doc for the well being of ur unborn, the doc would prescribe various vitamin and mineral supplements that are essential during the pregnancy for both the mother and the foetus. Go right away to the doc for a thorough checkup and to rule out any deficiencies that could pose a danger to the life of both of u at the time of delivery. They would monitor ur blood pressure..and the heart beat of the child..... GO RIGHT NOW!!

First off I hope this is a joke or that you really aren't pregnant and just saying this... But if you are serious are you NUTS!!!! You wouldn't wait to go see a doctor if you were really sick or needed to have something worked on. So why in the world would you put a poor helpless baby at risk of having complations in his/her life because your to damn lazy to go see a doctor.

So what are you going to do when the baby comes not take it to the doctor at all because you don't feel like going. I've got only one thing to say GROW UP!!!!

Not only is it dangerous but you are obviously not responsible. I just found out I was pregnant and I have already been to the doctor and I was only 4 weeks at that time. You need to go to the doctor because they can give you an ultrasound to make sure everything is going good with you and the baby. Who knows what if you have something wrong with yourself or the baby. You would be the one to blame if something went wrong. Then you would be kicking yourself in the ***. You need to be taking prenatal vitamins as well as iron and calcium pills. If you are worried about money issues or insurance there are programs out there to help. So please go to the doctor.

This can be very dangerous. Make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins everyday! If you do not have the money to see a doctor, apply for Medical Assistance. I did! Also, I found out at 32 weeks pregnant that my daughter had a life threatening heart disease that needed immediate open heart surgery 2 days after she was born. Get to a doctor- your child's life depends on it. They will check your urine, the baby, your blood pressure, and do internals to make sure everything is going smoothly. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Of coarse it is dangerous. You have no prenantal care. It is very irresponsible of you to not go as soon as you found out you were pregnant. Let alone for 5 months. You NEED to go see a doctor to ensure the health of that unborn baby!

When having health care so readily available to you and I dont understand why you wouldnt want to receive care. Are you taking prenatal vitamins? Go see a doctor right away. The hospital will be horrible to you too without receiving prenatal care. Be prepared to go through the works and get a lecture. It will give your piece of mind too that you and the baby healthy.

Dangerous..perhaps..Stupid , yes..
A pregnant woman needs to be seen by a doctor every month, then as your due date draws nearer, every week. Do you even have a general idea when your baby is due? Do you know that you are suppose to be on prenatal vitamins? If you don't have the common sense to tend to yourself, how in Gods name are you going to care for this baby..You are going to be a mother, time to GROW UP & TAKE RESPONSIBALITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS

Yes it is...when you first become pregnant you need to be seen by an OB GYN doctor for prenatal care for you and the baby.

Do not pay attention to the IM BOSSY person she is just a young girl who does not know what she is talking about.

You NEED prenatal care to make sure there is no health problems with you and the baby.

GET TO ONE MONDAY!!!!!
