A 7-11 type job can be found almost anywhere. Why not just go to a fast food restaurant in the area and work there? If if the 7-11 boss yielded to paying for training, his attitude towards you for complaining would make things so miserable that you'd leave anyway.

call the 7-11 coorporate office . maybe the employee sighned an agreement not to get payed due to a big turnaround on new hires . it shouldn't take more than 2 days to be trained anyhow

You didn't mention what state this was happening in, but I'm sure that whatever state you are in has a state website that will list the rules employers have to follow and what employees can do if they feel their employer is violating the law.

You can report them. I don't know the phone number to call, but it they are required to post a big poster that lists all the states labor laws. The number can be found on there, otherwise, check on line for your state's labor laws.
