I seem to think that all the time and money that is spent on making a movie about 9/11 could go to the families, or spend time counseling them. Why is it that big movie studios think that this is a good idea? Am I wrong? I am open to new ideas, and opinions.

Well i think that so many people have gone about their lives and put the tragic of 9/11 in the back of their minds until the anniversary comes around and then they remember it again. With the movie it will help people remember the tragic. Also it will be in school books before to much longer i am sure, and with a movie being released I fell like it will allow children that were to young to remember that event will be able to see it througha movie. I do agree however that at least some or all money should go to the family that lost a dear lost one.

I don't think that it's the idea of making a profit, I think that the movie is to make sure that people don't forget about 9/11 and that we are at war with subhuman idiots who want to take over the whole world and subvert to a very sick and twisted ideaology by killing innocent people
who will not cow down to the Islamo-Fascist PIGS!!!!

No, you're not wrong. Hollywood has no place to make money off a tragedy. I think it's greedy and shameful. But this is America. People will do anything to make a quick buck. They could at least donate a large amount of the profits to the families, because they're the ones suffering.

Because, if the movie is true to it's nature, it helps remind us and those, who have forgotten that we are in a war, and that we did not start it, and they have declared war on us long before Bush came into office.(IE the trade center bombing of 93, the USS Cole in 2000,the Beirut barracks in 83, the hostages in 79, and all the way back to Munich in 72, need anymore examples look at history)

Actually I saw both of the movies and thought they were tasteful and well done. Its not a "disgrace" to make a war movie. 9/11 was an act of war.

Because sadly people are out to make a buck. That is the long and the short of it. I think that the tragedy of 9/11 needs to be laid to rest..NOT FORGOTTEN by any means, but why keep rehashing it? I have been seeing on tv, countless recreations, and dramas about it..ENOUGH ALREADY..This to me, anyway..reopens wounds that need to heal.

Movie producers are all opportunists. They can care less about people's feelings and loss of a loved one. It all comes down to the bottom line-making money. Sad but true.

Because they know idiots will pay to watch it.

Just like they have tours through cemeteries, or visit the place where someone was murdered.

Take your picture on an electric chair.

People are awfully callous when it doesn't affect them directly.

Why shouldn't they? The government has been, and they helped plan and execute it.
