No matter how much money (or how little money) you have, you will learn to survive on it. But if you are not happy/ or satisfied at the end of the day, you will have wasted a lot of hours of the day being unhappy.

I am in that position now, I make really good money (my husband doesn't work or have an income and we manage quite well) but I am very unhappy in the job. (my job actually changed about a year ago but I am with the same company, and at the same pay level)

I would have a difficult time finding something that I could do to get the amount of pay I make now, but we are making financial changes in our house so that I can look for something else.

take the well paid one for a year and keep your feelers out for one you would enjoy at a good salary and then you have the money to move if need be
