dude. dont go for the brands. just go for a look. your clothes dont have to be expensive. they just have to look good. you could go to either, totally screw yourself over buying expensive stuff that looks like crap, whereas you can just go to some cheap place like old navy and buy something that looks reeeaaally good.

For your freshman year don't take any fashion chances. Wear whatever everyone else in your town wears to school, think of it as a uniform. Unitl you develop some social ties you want to avoid being a lightning rod for kids looking for a target for humiliation or abuse.

I have a friend he is a freshman in high school.

His wardrobe is mainly:

Polo striped shirts from hollister and a.e.
Regular Tees from abercrombie

khaki shorts
light jeans

umm some girls like that preppie look... but honestly I CANNOT stand it. I like guys with an alternative look. Any guy that can have his OWN since of style has a lot of guts to do that and I think it is sexy.

hollister and polo is hot this year, if you like urban apparel try roca wear and seanjean and enyce
