JESUS CHRIST IS REAL!!!
Even the Jews in Israel knew and still know today that Jesus lived and was crusified in Jerusalem. They know what streets!
This, your very date and time is based on the aniversary of his crucifiction! (2006 years ago A.D.= After Death)
You are so affected by Jesus Christ, in you daily lives. For example, Most banks are closed on Sundays. No hard alcohol sales on Sundays. No school on Sunday (a day of rest...)
Even the devil and demons know of Jesus and of his Holy name and they tremble.
You can either give him thanks or praise...
-or keep your mouth shut because you know what they say "if you can't say anything nice...
:^) Smile
God richly bless you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moxie, Please read what YOU wrote:
"count your blessings" You, and what ever you are, are most duplicitous. Blessings come from God and IS a Biblical term. YOUR ancestors for 2006 years happliy referred to it as "After Death" a very common term. You told me to be humble, but what you are interpreting as boastful is PRIDE! I am so happy and proud of Jesus Christ, whom made the ultimate sacrifice and defeated the works of the devil- "death/sin" And "grateful?" YOU MUST be projecting YOUR issues upon me and I am NOT accepting them. They went right back to you for your acknowledgment. I am truly thankful and blessed thanks be to God and Humbled in the LORD, only. You should ask Jesus into your Heart. I know you haven't because if you had tried a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you wouldn't discredit him. Jesus is most forgiving and full of LOVE. Simply ask Jesus to forgive you and to show you the Truth the Light and the way, and you too can KNOW THE TRUE MEANING of "blessing"

TECHGUY2396 **"YOU DO ERROR!"**
You miss quoted the Holy Bible...
THIS is the correct quote- 32:20 "And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob [is] behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me." THIS IS NOT refering to God's face, but of his brothers!!!!! (Fool)
Secondly, regarding the Sabbath!!!!! In the Old Testament before Jesus came to "Fulfill the Law" they had tons of laws. But Jesus came and gave us Love that completes the law, by grace and his blood!
YOU ARE MOST BLESSED FOR ME TO TAKE MY TIME TO EDUCATE YOU!!!
You flat out lied in your post. You do not know your Bible period! Try to stick to a subject that you are educated on, instead of misleading people-therby doing the devils work. Everyone deserves better. And I will not let you make false stuff up with out correcting you because I am a good person and people deserve the TRUTH! I really care enough to...

There are timetables involved with the Bible. It is a historical book, after all. That said, before Jesus came "we were under the curse of the Law" That is why Jewish custom is so different from Christians.- Since Jesus fulfilled the law. It is imporant to understand this. That is why there are differences from what is okay in the Old Testament to what is allowed in the New Testament... (I am sorry about any typos. I am doing three things at once and am also coming back and forth to the computer...) :^)- Thanks for understanding...XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

AD stands for anno domini.. for your information. Even if Jesus the man was real.. which he probably was, and crucified with historical evidence, there is no evidence he came back from the dead, or performed any miracles, or was the son of god. His existence does NOT prove that. The religion is SO mainstream, that is why Sundays are off days.. does not mean the religion is correct. Saturdays are off days too for many people.. Sunday is not so much considered holy by everyone as it is considered a weekend along with Saturday. To say the demons tremble in his name is not proof.. for you would have to prove demons exist. If you can't say anything nice indeed. I have not been hateful.. just expressing my opinion, which is obviously what you want because you are telling me to accept a "simple truth" with facts that have no relative basis for your statement. Please open your eyes and don't be afraid to question the things you see, read and hear. I am a perfectly moral and upstanding citizen without the help from the bible and everyone could and should find it within themselves to be a good person, with or without god. You don't need to preach about Jesus, lead by example.. to be helpful and non judgemental and a caring person is the best way to get through to somebody.
I hope you are happy... remember being humble is a very very important trait. Truly look inside yourself, count your blessings, and ask yourself and maybe even your god if you wish... "am I grateful.. am I humble?"

Just so you know, the educated people have come up with a better way to keep track of the past and present. It is no longer B.C. or A.D. A.D. did not mean After Death, it stood for Anno Domini.

The new terms are C.E. for Common Era and B.C.E. Before Common Era.

Just some facts you might be interested in, but I bet not.

From the American Atheist website:

( Passages where the bible is in error - or contradicts itself )

INTRODUCTION

It is a central dogma of all fundamental Christians that the Bible is without error. They teach this conclusion by "reasoning" that god cannot be the author of false meaning and he cannot lie. Is this true? If written by a perfect being, then it must not contradict itself, as a collection of books written by different men at different times over many centuries would be expected to contradict each other.

With this in mind, let us have a look at the Bible on several subjects. [top]

ON THE SABBATH DAY
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy." -- Exodus 20:8

"One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." -- Romans 14:5 [top]

ON THE PERMANENCY OF THE EARTH
"... the earth abideth for ever." -- Ecclesiastes 1:4

"... the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." -- 2Peter 3:10 [top]

ON SEEING GOD
"... I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." -- Genesis 32:30

"No man hath seen God at any time..."-- John 1:18 [top]

ON HUMAN SACRIFICE
"... Thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God..." -- Leviticus 18:21

[In Judges, though, the tale of Jephthah, who led the Israelites against the Ammonoites, is being told. Being fearful of defeat, this good religious man sought to guarantee victory by getting god firmly on his side. So he prayed to god] "... If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering" (Judges 11:30-31).

[The terms were acceptable to god -- remember, he is supposed to be omniscient and know the future -- so he gave victory to Jephthah, and the first whatsoever that greeted him upon his glorious return was his daughter, as god surely knew would happen, if god is god. True to his vow, the general made a human sacrifice of his only child to god!] -- Judges 11:29-34 [top]

ON THE POWER OF GOD
"... with God all things are possible." -- Matthew 19:26

"...The LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." -- Judges 1:19 [top]

ON DEALING WITH PERSONAL INJURY
"...thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. " -- Exodus 21:23-25

"...ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." -- Matthew 5:39 [top]

ON CIRCUMCISION
"This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised." -- Genesis 17:10

"...if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing." -- Galatians 5:2 [top]

ON INCEST
"Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of this mother..." -- Deuteronomy 27:22

"And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter...it is a wicked thing...." -- Leviticus 20:17

[But what was god's reaction to Abraham, who married his sister -- his father's daughter?] See Genesis 20:11-12

"And God said unto Abraham, As for Sara thy wife...I bless her, and give thee a son also of her..." -- Genesis 17:15-16 [top]

ON TRUSTING GOD
"A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD..." -- Proverbs 12:2

Now consider the case of Job. After commissioning Satan to ruin Job financially and to slaughter his shepherds and children to win a petty bet with Satan. God asked Satan: "Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause." -- Job 2:3 [top]

ON THE HOLY LIFE-STYLE
"Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart..." -- Ecclesiastes 9:7

"...they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not..." -- 1 Corinthians 7:30 [top]

ON PUNISHING CRIME
"The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father..." -- Ezekiel 18:20

"I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation..." -- Exodus 20:5 [top]

ON TEMPTATION
"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man." -- James 1:13

"And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham..." -- Genesis 22:1 [top]

ON FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS
"Honor thy father and thy mother..."-- Exodus 20:12

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. " -- Luke 14:26 [top]

ON RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
"...he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. " -- Job 7:9

"...the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth...." -- John 5:28-29 [top]
