I have been watching this story on Fox News ..Seems there is a lot of non-believers in California who are upset at seeing a huge cross...
Are you a non-believer - Whats your take - Do you think it is some Muslim group that is responsible...?

The one who started the lawsuit was a veteran and I'm 100% behind him. No taxpayer funds should be used to promote religion.

Once again the nut cases have found a box to stand on and spit out their garbage. The Cross has been there longer than most of the complainers have been around. Religion built California and the early Missions provided safe haven for travelers. You do not have to believe to look at a cross. If they do not believe then it is just a statue so why be offended? The ACLU loves attention so they are wasting tax payers time and money trying to get the Cross tore down.

I dont get people. I am a Christian, and I am not offended when I drive by a Jewish Temple, or when at my graduation, we held a second prayer for a Muslim family that went to my school. So why should a cross that has been there for so long have to come down? And the whole separation of church and state stance is just a crutch. The federal govt. didnt put that cross up or pay for it, so that point is moot. Why does the ACLU feel the need to trample on others rights and beliefs to uphold the feelings of someone else? A bit hypocritical isnt it?

I haven't seen this story, so thanks for sharing. I think it is really sad and says alot about us as a nation when we want no part of the God who gave us life. I came across this poem some time ago and think it is an excellent point:
"America the beautiful, or so you used to be,
land of the pilgrim's pride, I'm glad they'll never see. Babies piled in dumpsters, abortion on demand, Oh,sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand!
Our children wander aimlessly, poisened by cocaine, choosing to indulge their lusts when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our nation's turns away, from the God who loves them, and the need to always pray.
So many worldly pastors tell lies about our Rock, saying God is going boke so they can fleece the flock. We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown, When earth is but His footstool and Heaven is His throne. We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core, Appointing Godless judges who throw reason out the door, Too soft to place a killer an a well deserved tomb, but brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb. You think that God's not angry that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will he wait before His judgement comes? How are we to face our God from whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide? If we who are His children will humbly turn and pray, Seek His holy face and mend our evil way, Then God will hear from Heaven and forgive us of our sins, He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within. But America, the Beautiful, if you don't then you will see, A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from thee."
It seems that everyone just wants to erase anything that points to God in the hopes it will erase the reality of him period. But irregardless of what we do, God is still God. Sorry this was so long, but thanks for the good question!!!
