Normally, I understand not everyone agrees with me on Bush's administration being a fiasco (to put it mildly). But Don Rumsfeld just said he didn't understand why the members of the 172nd Stryker Brigade and their families would be ticked off at him for forcing them back into Iraq literally right before they were scheduled to go home. Then said that while they are now scheduled to get off near Christmas time, he can't promise they'll be back then either. Said they were volunteers, so they'd be alright with this. That is just outright stupidity to think that, and while before I wasn't sure if he should resign or not, I am certainly thinking that now. If this monkey can't understand why they would be angry with him, then he needs to be thrown into a mental asylum and have the key thrown away. I understand now that he is a complete dumba**, and Bush should be tossed as well for keeping this fool in his cabinet.

And for those who ask if this is all I disagree with. The truth is I've disagreed with nearly everything they've done, but I could at least see why not everyone agreed with me. But now this outright stupidity I think requires Bush to get rid of Rumsfeld and all support for Rumsfeld to die away, and yet he is still being supported by at least some. That makes no sense whatsoever to me, and Bush and Rumsfeld should be gone. Rumsfeld for the stupid things he has said, and Bush for not getting rid of him after the stupid things he said.

I am simply a citizen and my only power is to vote. I am a Democrat, but really a Libertarian on the inside. But I think they need to start the draft again. I have a 16 year old son and would be very worried for him, but it seems that there aren't enough troops to contain the problem. But I also think that the professional soldiers need to take the brunt of the problem. I didn't agree with invading Iraq in 2001, but we are there now, what do we do about it. We need a better leader than Rumsfied, he has never wanted more men than what is there now. Our choice is to leave the Middle Eaast in a shambles (worse than we found it) or dig our heels in and take care of it. I'm not a medium, I can't say which would turn out to be the best way...but the way we're doing it now seems stupid. Rumsfield doesn't have the qualifications to be a military leader, he has the resume of a politician.

I think he is in the same category as George Bush.
I don't know how much he actually make calls and decision himself on what he does. Or he could just be a muppet of some sort following orders. I have a manager just like him. know nothing and just being a smart *** to other people and kiss *** to his superior.

The only thing I know he does is whenever there are heavy critics on him or bush administration, he will only go travel to iraq and try to buy more popularity points.

There are so many inteligent leadership material people in this country. Why can't we have these people lead our country instead of these Boso who think they are smart.

Rumsfeld is a Facist Christian. He is really scary. I think he should go to iraq as part of a unit. I bet calling troops home would be so fast. The man has a hide and not a very pleasant one.

Everyone in the Bush administration is completely clueless, because not a one of them has ever worked for a living or risked their a$$ on a battlefield.

I see that there are many opinionated fools in the US who have never been to war & don't understand it.

War is not predictable, it doesn't have a time period.

I do not see why Rumsfeld should be spoken of in such a way!

If you were in his position I seriously doubt you'd do better.

My brother has been in Mosul for several months now & fools like you belittle all the sacrifices our men & women are making for all of us!

I think you are abusing your First Amendment rights. Mr. Rumsfield got where he is because of his ability. You are where you are because of your lack of ability. Your grammar is so bad you should be ashamed that you cannot write a simple, declarative sentence.
You put your rant in the form of a question. Try doing something useful with your time and your life.

I feel bad for these families, but I have to wonder what they think joining the military means. They DID volunteer.
