what would win in a race?

my brother and my buddy are arguing about whose car would win in a race i told them it would be close its between a 97 dodge avenger es vith the 2.5 v6 and a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5 rs both cars have an automatic trans and no mods at all who would win in the race and if you can post the 0-60 times and quarter mile times.

neither of the cars lose traction so that is a major factor the dodge wont even chirp the tires from a neutral drop.

the avenger has the same horesepwer and more torque than the impreza i think some of you are looking at the 4 cylinder es with 140hp

the subaru. the subaru is a lighter more compact car. the avenger's advantage is shadowed by its hefty curb weight, plus the subaru's all wheel drive will eliminate the possibility of a burnout. also, contrary to previous statements, the subaru outpowes the avenger. see below for proof:

I think Silverstang correct. The big problem most cars have is Traction. Guy's who burn their tires are easy prey. While they repaving the road a car with good traction be 1/4-1/3 way through the quarter mile, before they start to get traction and move.

Well I suppose I will buck the trend here and guess the Avenger might come out slightly ahead as its V-6 can probably out-torque the Impreza's four-banger.
