I know I wish I did! Its really hard to meet new people! Especially people who are mature, down to earth and honest. What important to me right now is friendship I would love that more than anything right now to have a great friendship with a female.I am 23 years old and I watch "friendship" movies sometimes and I just wish I can have that special friendship! Is there anyone who wishes the same! I know the true meaning of the word does anyone else knows.. Positive comments only please...

yea, I had a really close friend, but then all of a sudden they just changed and I don't like the person they have become. I wish they could be the way they were before, but now I know they never will be so I just had to end the friendship becuz I just couldn't take it anymore! lol. I have other friends and I hope to make some more this year and become closer to these people. BEst of luck w/ ur friend troubles...

I understand what you mean, and it is hard to find. I haven't had a close friend in years and years. I've changed a lot, matured that is, and the kinds of people I would've had friendships with in the past no longer interest me. I know a lot of people through school, but they are just casual acquaintances. For now, try to accept what people around you can offer, in terms of the things you hold in common, but don't try to push, let them keep coming to you, instead of you going to them. A lot of times people start out thinking they know you, but they only know the superficial stuff, which is not what you want in a true friendship. And then you have to give them the room to back out of the burgeoning friendship. Through this wait and see process, you will learn to value yourself more and more, until some day you really do make that special connection. In the meantime, enjoy meeting people and having fun sharing the superficial stuff, without expecting more from them.

Of course every one wishes this.. and some day you will find a great friend that will just walk into your life! though you are 23 and i am much different in age, i still understand your longing......i am beginning to find my very close friendship myself........just wait for it! it will come!
