Most of my friends have stopped using tampons or are using pads a lot more (TSS, etc.). Anyway, I started on the stickies until two friends told me about these new lacy, colored belts that hold these new thinner pads in place. They fit close, don't stick to me and just feel much more secure. Any other ladies using the belts out there or prefering them vs. stick on pads.

Angry tampon users that hate pads can sit this out please.

Something very strange is going on here.... check out the profiles of the Asker and the other people who give raving reviews of these things...

You'll see some spamming going on....

I've never tried these things, but they sound interesting. I do have to say, though, that sanitary belts aren't new at all, they're what my Mom and yours used 50 years ago!

If you're looking for a relatively safe alternative to tampons but still want to do things like go swimming, check out Divacups and Keepers. They are cups that you insert into your vagina, that catch your fluid. Because they allow your vagina to keep its regular moisture while they prevent leaks, the risk of TSS is much much less. They also cut down on less-serious consequences: tampons always gave me headaches, but with my Divacup I'm totally headache free.

If you check out the website that sells the Divacup, you'll see they also sell washable reusable pads. They don't stick, you either Velcro or snap them into place, and they are good for you AND the environment! They're definitely my favorite kind of pas out there.

I agree. I just got tied of the ripping, bunching, sticking to my body and pubes, etc.

These are the same kind of belts they used to have years ago, but updated and made to look and wear like fine lingerie. I have some of new napkins with the ends that hook into the belt. Very comfy.

By the way, these are NOT the cloth pads - these are just like regular maxis but go with a belt.

I'm 26 and started using them about 3 years ago. Much better!

Thanks for the spam note - very interesting. A marketing ploy?
