You ovulate once a month, about 14 days before your period, and it takes just a few minutes. The egg stays good for about 24 hours. To try and conceive it's suggested that you start having sex a few days before you ovulate until the day afterwards. Some women, such as myself, feel a slight cramping when they ovulate. I can even tell which ovary it's coming from too.

I have been told that you ovulate between the 11-18 days after your menstrual cycle, The 14th day being the magic day. You would count the day you start as day 1. Every body is different, some women may notice some slight cramping around ovulation time. Good luck!!!

Ovulation occurs mid-cycle and lasts several days. It is easy to tell if you take your temperature everyday, after you wake up and before getting out of bed. Put a thermometer next to your bed and paper and pencil. Write down your temperature daily it will go up slightly when you are ovulating.
