Anything that requires effort on your part and shows that you had him and only him in mind when you did it or made it. So cooking him a dinner is nice. Some women like to get a portrait of themselves made. I've always thought that a nice origami rose that you learned how to make, and made yourself is a wonderful idea. Write a poem for him, even if it's not wonderful, he'll be happy about it :)
But I recommend staying away from gifts that anyone could have gotten him, had they bothered to go to a store. If you do chose to buy him something, make it something that you know he would appreciate more than any other person. Make it something only you would have thought to get him. It has to be a very personal gift, from you to him. I hope that helps.

Best gift how about a ride in a mock dogfighting jet fighter if u were loaded...
Something signed by his hero, meeting the hero, if say can play guitar and a real fan of a good band that are actual nice guys seening if he can jam or better still play on stage with them or something personal like that...

No i am not going to suggest anything of a carnal nature>i am twenty seven myself and have been with my current partner for eight years with two wonderful children.The best thing i can give is a nice comfort meal,popcorn..a movie..spending quality time together..play battleships if you will..simple things in life are often the best..sex is a bonus

A nice Gift Certificate to a mens shop or for a Romantic Dinner with you.Or you can cook him a Romantic Dinner At Home.There's alot of different ideas be unique.Have fun.

Men absolutely love gadgets, or boys toys. An iPod is a wicked gift and you can get them engraved on the back with a personal message.

Depends on what he is interested in and how much money you are willing to spend.
Easy way out is Gift Certificate.( This option is not for the sensitive guys though as he will get offended lol)
Expensive way out is tickets to any sports event.

On the day my husband and I got married I gave him a keychain (shapped like an old key) engraved with "The key to my heart" and I later gave him the heart during the ceremony.
But you dont have to do it like that. He really loved it

it has to be a holiday or short break find out a place he has always wanted to see. my wife took me to Belfast for a weekend and to see the giants course way after i moaned about the amount of money we spend on northern island what a fantastic couple of days. hope it helps!
