someone on AIM said that he got my IP??? and he knows where i live..he is kinda right bc he gave me a list of high schools in the location?? how do i find his IP too?? and find where he lives...this is very confusing to me..i need some one to explain plz

The IP could direct him to a City or town but not your home address. He would need to break into your ISP and get that Info. He located the town and then Googled for your town. At the town website he got the school names. It is an easy trick. Don't fall for it and confirm any school you go to. Do not give him any information at all.
You are being stalked and it is against the law in every state and by the Federal Laws. Call your local Police. If they can't help then report them to the FBI here.

IP Address stands for Internet Protocol Address.
It is the way your browser knows where to go.
Think of it like a zip code.
Your computer's local IP address is 127.0.0.1
Sometimes you can find out who owns a website by looking it up at http://www.whois.com

An IP is a set of numbers that every computer has. It is short for Internet Protical Address. Everytime you visit a Server Side Scripted page, assume your IP address has been collected.
You can tell if it is a SSSP, if you see all of that junk after the last slash, or it ends with .php or .asp.
Junk includes ".php?variable=value&..."
Once you have his IP address, you can use a Reverse DNS to find out where he lives. http://www.dnsstuff.com will suffice with your needs.
After that, just find a map, get names of stuff in his city and scare the *bleep* out of them...

IP ¡ internet protocol... everyone has one... thats liek your ID card... its how other computers know who you are.
