I believe he is hacking into my computer as he works in the field for a living. When I trace my IP address, I get several wireless internet providers showing up, including the one I subscribe to. Is that normal??

Are you also an administrator?

Fight hacking with hacking. Very simple solution to get his admin password..probably the most basic hacking ever. NOTE: This program can be used illegally if you were to run it on someone else computer and steal their passwords. But you can run it on your computer perfectly legally and it can be used to show how easy a Black Hat hacker/Cracker (Illegal Hacker) could steal your passwords. http://www.g4tv.com/screensavers/features/42974/Crack_Windows_Passwords.html The download is at the bottom.

The wireless ip (internet providers) are just other wireless networks in your area (Neighbors wireless networks). just use yours.

Check your logon id and see if you have administrator priviledges. If you do, then you can delete your ex userid and change or assign a new password for the administrator id. I think your ip address trace is okay. If you do not have administrator access to your own pc, then this would be a problem.

Without the password to remove him as the admin, you would need to move any data files of stuff you want to save onto a CD-RW or something. Then you would have to wipe the harddrive and re-install an OS. If you have nothing on it you really need, like an MS Money or QuickBooks/Quicken file etc, just format the HD and put on the new OS.

It is no use begging him for the password. You really don't know what else he put in your computer (think keyloggers, rootkits, or trojans...and make sure your cam is off or unhooked from your PC when not in use! Heard horror stories about that.). What you need to do is to back up all files that you cannot afford to lose and then ask someone (one of your friends perhaps, co-worker, or a paid tech) to format the drive for you (wipe it clean) and then install Windows on it. Make sure you watch them when they do it so you can learn how to do it too or you can be sure that they too won't install any type of spying programs in your PC. If I were in your shoes, I won't even save anything (they can be infected too, who knows) and proceed with formatting the drive(s) and Windows reinstallation. Good luck!

If you get several other wireless connections on your line, that means your neighbors are getting internet from your wireless connection. Call your internet provider and ask to get a secured network. This will require a password to use, and will stop your pesky neighbors from stealing your connection.

If you are the administrator of the computer and he hacked you and stole your ID I would give him one chance to redeem himself, then I would report him to the fraud unit!

You've probably already doing this, but make sure you take your computer offline when you're not using it, until you figure out what's going on.

then clearly state that you want to be administrator ... then if he is ok guy then he will give you your password then make yourself an administrator and then demote him

Sell your computer and buy a laptop and hide it from him...or just ask him if hes doing it and tell him to stop.
