One of my favorites is Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.

TITANIC Is by far the best romance movie I have ever seen, It's so sweet Rich Girl /Poor Boy ....True Love etc ..and Yet with a gripping storyline ...and superb acting .....and all that haunting Irish music just sets the tone for the whole movie .....It opened my eye's to the history of what happened to The Titanic , and made me Feel for all those people that lost their lives.

Hmmm As for a date movie ..I wouldnt necessarily go to a romance movie unless I had been dating the guy for awhile , I would opt for a comedy like Rat Race ..Or White Chicks ...both of those movies had me roaring with laughter ..I laughed so hard I cried..and for the first few dates if you can go to a movie you can laugh at , it sure takes away from the nervousness you might be feeling :-)

Dirty Dancing the ultimate chick flick.. But alas only a girly fantasy of how women think men are rather than the reality - hence why few blokes rate it..

Baby gets to gain the respect/independence of and from her parents, the hero chooses her over the better looking dance partner, he comes back for her AND he announces to all and sundry that she has taught him about the kind of person he wants to be (praise be - lol! - a woman actually DID change her man!).. and he is a great dancer and no pushover (knocked out thon other guy).. all of this is a powerful combination for us females so we all have a soft spot for that film..

Utter fantasy as I say though!

Umm - BUT for favourite romance movie I think maybe is a bit more grounded is perhaps a little known independent Scottish film called My Name is Joe - very realistic and sad.

Or if you want a laugh Gregory's Girl - the tale of first love is always good at incapsulating the essence of this love malarkey.. the line 'The best bit is before you taste it - your mouth goes all tingly - but that can't go on forever' I think sums it all up perfectly..

My all-time fav is "When Harry Met Sally", but I also love "Bridget Jones' Diary" - so funny but romantic! I saw "Fever Pitch" not too long ago with Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon (sp?) I'm not a Drew fan, but I loved this movie - very fun to watch and romantic! Two movies that are more action/suspense/drama but romantic that I love are "The Big Easy" with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin and "Out of Sight" with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez - check those out!
