I am 13 years old and African-American. I have been dancing and acting for 8 years. I would like to know if you know of any upcoming auditons for movies, dancing, disney channel,etc. If you are a movie producer could you please leave your e-mail address. My goodness, you DO need some help. You are just looking the wrong place. Not many movie producers are looking in answers.com for talent ... but you never know.
Here's Five Stops (not steps, do each one)...
First stop: read the trade magazines. I'll link you one below.
Second stop: know that going to audtions are how you get work, so go to them even if you don't want the job -- practice auditioning!
Third stop: be strong, finish your audition with a smile while the others are fading in the third hour of dancing.
Fourth stop: Get an agent!
Fifth stop: meet people. we call it 'networking' and we're not kidding. it's who you know not what you know, so smile and remember names.

Since you have been singing and dancing for 8 years, ask your acting teacher if he or she knows of auditions in your city. Your teacher will be the best person to ask about auditions in your city.
Never send your resume to strangers, or,to anyone you meet online!
