Under-gravel filters aren't that good. And there is no such thing as too much filtration.

not sure an underground filter will be enough for a 10 gallon. You may want to get a regular filtration system, depends on what kind of critters you have in there. They are generally for smaller tanks. and they are harder to clean. You really only need one are bubble stone for that size. good luck!

Undergravel filters produce a lot of nitrates as most of the crud they filter just gets collected in the undergravel panel, which is not much help. I suggest a powerfilter. They are very easy to maintain and very efficient.

I think it is fine unless the fish are acting weired and or they are get sucked into the filtering system.

wasted money there.
can't have too much filtration or too much oxygen.
