There are multiple personalities among hookers.

Some do what they have to do because they MUST and they go home hating themselves everynight for it. After a while, violence and street life desensitize them and they do what they do with no feeling at all. Furthermore, excessive sex dries their vaginas aout and makes them less elastic.

Some other Hookers do what they do for the materialistic gain and they enjoy it. They think turning a few tricks a day makes them more money than they could as a working woman. This is especially bad for young girls doing dirty things for new clothes and cellphones and ipods their parents can't afford. You know, the ones who brag about sucking guys off for jewelry on Maury Povich.

Most women in general who do these things aren't happy about it. Even the ones who claim they are aren't happy.
I've known women who've done things like this they regret for the rest of their lives - and that's not even counting the ones who screwed up and got STD's.

Do you really think that women like to have sex with a lot of people, most of them ugly, disgusting, and unconsiderate? Besides that, do you really think the enjoy being punished by pims for not earning enough money for them? Do you think that if they had better opportunities like education, a good family, a healthy enviroment to grow up they will end doing prostitution?

There are a lot of women that comes from a poor enviroment and from disfunctional families and they are not prostitutes. But you have to add traumatic experiences like rapes, psychological abuse and other experiences that made all those women feel or think that the appropiate thing to do for them was to be a prostitute.

A lot of them do it for money, other do it to mantain their drug addiction (the majority I think, but Im not sure). But to think they are just doing it for the pleasure of sex is wrong. Of course there is a possibility there are nimphomaniacs out there doing prostitution just for pleasure, but they are the minotity.

Most of this women (and male prostitutes) will end dying young of STD's, for drug related reasons or just killed by someone. They really need help to realized that there is hope for them and alternatives and opportunities to have a better life. I know women that were living this type of life and decided to change. Everyone can change, there's always hope.

All women sometime in their lives feel like they are being asked to sell their bodies in some way. It's a terrible moment. Women sell their bodies for jobs, marriages, food, to avoid beatings and abuse, to gain favor, and to make money, and otherwise "make a living". Are the ones who do it for out-and-out cash any more miserable in their decision than a woman who sleeps with her father to keep him from raping an eight-year old younger sister? No, I don't think so. The kids I saw on the street who were selling themselves did not have the personal resources to do better in their lives. They wanted to, though. Some women can manage their own lives well enough to consider sex as just a business opportunity and, to them, selling their bodies isn't nearly as unethical as, say, working for an oil company.

I have met hookers periodically during my life time and as I was not taught to be judgemental I simply enjoyed their stories. Some did it because they did not have enough education to do anything else, some did it because they had expensive habits like drug addictions those women usually did not like it and lied to themselves about it. I met a young girl who once was a friend of mine who was attracted to that lifestyle for many reasons she saw it as easy money and her older mother neglected her unless she was very very bad so I see the interest there steming from her childhood. In Germany I had the fortunate experience of getting lost in the snowy season to stop at the only place open I assumed was a bar to find out later that it was a house of business. I think the most well mannered attractive woman I have ever met in my life answered the door and finally let me in. The law in Germany where prostitution is legal is that they must close the houses on Holidays so the men will go home so she was worried about letting me go in. She spoke excellent English, provided me with a free drink and brought the phone for me to call my friends to come get me as I was very near thier house just disoriented in the snow. When he told me where I was at when we left I said oh that explains all the red velvet in there as I thought it was decked out for Christmas a bit much. Whether or not she enjoyed it she was obviously a professional with a great deal of class. I think possibly she thought I was looking for my man or a job when I first came up such that my knocking on her door disturbed her. The bars in Germany are often the lower floors of a family who runs them so I thought I was at a family run bar and that she was in a satin night robe. I was on my way to visiting my friend, her husband and children alone in a rented car for Christmas while serving in the army. If she had not let me in I may have very well run out of gas and frozen to death in my car. I was very confused about the movie they were showing but recognized that Germany is a bit more liberal than the US. It never crossed my mind it was a house of prostitution in a smaller city or town as I had been told all legal licensed prostitutes are in Frankfurt in the Red Light district in correctly.

I think you'd need to poll women who are prostitutes to get worthwhile answers to your question. We who are not prostitutes can only reply what we think or imagine they feel or what their goals are.

I would imagine some don't mind it, and others may hate it. Some may even enjoy it.

Goals will vary...the most basic I would guess would be income, and they may not feel qualified to do anything else or don't feel they could make the same money.

I don't believe it's so much about happiness, I think it's either a quest made out of desperation or attention, or both. I understand some people like sex, and people like money, but seriously, the possibility of having you a** kicked, being raped (not being paid), contracting a lifelong illness (there goes your job, if you have a conscious), and being killed SHOULD outweigh the "pros" of prostitution.

hookers weather happy or not I believe that depends on where they come from.
weather they are from russia and are doing so because the russain mafia has forced them, or if they are plain old hookers that look at sex as part of the easiest money making strategy... any way, hookers are not happy doing what they do as no female wants to SELL her body.

I doubt it. I think most are forced into it either by lack of education or family troubles and it is the only way they know how to make money. There sitting on a gold mine. But I bet most are not happy.

this is my opinion. first of all...what is happiness? i mean...it seems to be a relative thing based on perspective. i would say it probably has to do with their self esteem or childhood issues in the first place that they are putting themselves into that sort of profession....pretty sad in my opinion. i have known a lot of strippers...and although it is not the same thing, i think it is the same mental process that creates that sort of behavior. also, i think that the widespread issue and problem of repression creates all sorts of issues in people that translate into sexual acting out. so happy? i dont know......again...what is happy? i think that is the real question.....

I would think ones that do not work on the street..such as ones that work in brothels..probably love the work..have you ever watched the late night special on HBO called cathouse..I think those girls have it pretty good...now hookers on the street usually do it for more crack money..so I think that makes them happy too!
