Could it be dust that got inside the desktop? If so, how do I clean this up?

There is probably dust inside it. You should clean it out as soon as possible because it can cause damage to your components. to clean it out you will have to take the case apart, some have screws and some have things like a latch on them. Then you should use something like a can of compressed air to blow the dust out. Hope this helped!

Your computer is either really dirity inside and needs to be cleaned out or the fan is going bad and needs to be replaced.

It probably is dirty, but if you have a CD in the drive, or a big program running, the fan will spin faster to cool the computer's wires off (that's what the fans for, you know). Its probably dirty, though.

its pro clogged up with dust go throug the vents and gently loosen the dust then hoover works for me
