Steph, it sounds like there are some major communication problems between you and your husband. I'd recommend getting together in a neutral place and talk about what's going on. You have a right to know if he is having affairs or not....hopefully IF he is he will tell you why he feels he needs to go outside your marriage for fulfillment, and you could tell him how that makes you feel. Regardless if he's having an affair or not you both are going down a very rocky road and since you have a daughter you both need to be very careful about how you treat each other and how much she hears. Remember he is still her daddy and girls need their daddys.
Also, is their a counselor, friend, or clergy member you can talk to about what's going on? Sometimes talking with someone that's not involved in the situation helps because they can give you a fresh perspective.

It would probably be a good idea to find out if he is cheating, and if he is, then you are gonna need to find out how you feel about that, and if you could live with it and trust him again if you two get back together...it's a good thing that you aren't doing anything to disrespect your marriage, keep up the good work, cause you may end up doing things you will regret later...my advice also is, is that spend this time apart finding answers to the questions that you posted, but remember that as long as your husband isn't violent in any way towards your daughter, let them at least have contact with her, if he wants it...don't let the issues between you two make your daughter feel like a pull-toy or whatever...good luck and may God bless you and your family...

The question I pose is would you rather be happy and alone
or together and unhappy. Which one it the true depiction
of your situation? Admirable to take into consideration your
little girl. But experts say, staying together for the sake of the
child just means the child grows up in an unhappy environment.
About the cheating, they say if you suspect, it likely happened.
You could confront him about it, put forth some ground rules first,
and if he did cheat, then your gone for good. Also please consider your time. Your #1, and am speaking for your child.
Anytime wasted on a useless relationship is exactly that,
time wasted. You could be moving forward with your life
to happier times, instead of this indecision and doubt.
It's your life, take charge and enjoy it.

Ok, forget the rumors and such because thats all they are, and besides they really arent going to help you if theyre true anyway. Basically, this all comes down to what do you want? Is your marriage savable and do you want to? If youre that unhappy, then end it, sue him for custody of your child, which you will get unless youve been charged with child or drug abuse, support and anything else youre legally entitled to and move on, or on the other hand, if youre happy more, then get into a marriage counselor and see what happens. The decision is yours only cause you have to live with what you decide. Good luck

I think for YOUR sake that you 2 just keep a friendly relationship for your little girl's sake and just disspell any rumors. You and your ex will have to show a COMMON friendly face for 18 or so years because of your little girl ya kno.You have to move on for your happiness and forget the "mind" games and provide aparental atmosphere when you 3 are together though, wat do ya think?? :) :)

IT IS TOO MUCH RESPONSIBILITY FOR A LITTLE GIRL TO HOLD A FAILING MARRIAGE TOGETHER. QUIT USING HER FOR AN EXCUSE TO NOT GET A DIVORCE. YOU TWO HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO WORK IT OUT TOGETHER, AND DO YOUR OWN THINGS. YOU NO LONGER GET TO HAVE ANY SAY IN WHAT THE OTHER ONE DOES. GET A DIVORCE BUT MAINTAIN A FRIENDSHIP. AT LEAST MAINTAIN A RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIP. YOU BOTH OWE THIS TO YOUR DAUGHTER. LEARN TO MAKE A NEW RELAITONSHIP AS CO-PARENTS. HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HAPPINESS. YOU ARE. BESIDES, NO ONE WANTS THAT JOB. MASTER SOME SKILLS, OR DEVELOP A TALENT. GET BACK AT HIM BY IMPROVING YOUR LIFE WITHOUT HIM. SHOW YOUR DAUGHTER HOW TO THINK AND BEHAVE INDEPENDENTLY.

If your seperated he doesn't feel like he has to be faithful anymore. And unless there were rules set he wouldn't know. You to need to sit down and talk about it.You go out and it's really the same thing you just say it's with your friends. He maybe feeling the same way about you.You two just need to have a heart to heart talk soon.

This is just an uneducated observation. Please excuse me for asking more questions. Do you remember what your hubby was like before you got married? Was he seeing other people? Did he leave a former girlfriend for you? Does he like variety? (That was crass, sorry). You know some guys (observation only) like to mess around just because they want to show off for their friends.

you don't mention why you're separated, and how long for. But I would presume you both had reasons to split up, and that you weren't happy together. separation is usually used to give each space and to see if its being together that makes you unhappy. I guess you know your answer now.

If you are not happy, the wise decision is to leave him, being sad would affect your girl persionality. seek for man who make feel the life, all your feeling and behaviour woud become more positive. Good luck.
