yes they have you can try it :P just kidding :D let me tell you some kind of emotion animals Emotion in animals considers the question whether animals feel in the sense humans understand it.
Different answers have been suggested throughout human history, by animal lovers, scientists, philosophers, and others who interact with animals, but the core question has proven hard to answer since we can neither obtain spoken answers, nor assume anthropomorphism. As a result, on the one hand society recognizes animals can feel pain, by criminalizing animal cruelty, and yet on the other hand it is far from clear whether we truly believe animals "feel" in a meaningful sense. Often expressions of apparent pleasure are ambiguous as to whether this is emotion, or simply innate response, perhaps to approval or other hard-wired cues. The ambiguity is a source of much controversy in that there is no certainty which views, if any, are "right".

An experience I had of late was with a Tamagotchi, which I successfully managed to nurture for 2 years 5 months and 3 days (possibly also 2 hours). The bunny became ill after it was fed exclusively on turnips for the first 2 years 5 months and...yes...I think...two...yes...two days. Further malady was caused by starvation as I had nothing but turnips to feed to it. Death approached when, having realised that there was no remedy for bunny available, I rendered its misery complete with a sledgehammer.

Oh yes... my dog has a wide range of emotions and has different levels of love for different people. He is jealous when im on the computer, I dont think he harbors resentment or hate but I know many dogs show anger if someone appraoches them that has been mean to them.

Love starts as lust, which comes from the might desire to procreate and evolution made us try this by using making intercourse sense solid, than long term lust comes from the better time of being pregnant to offer toddlers with complicated brains, long term love retains adult males linked for this reason around to guard the longer vulnerable women persons. Hate comes from opposition with different contributors of a inhabitants and is contemporary in just about all smart animals. Jealousy comes from opposition too and is the main easy, he has that, i do no longer, i'm hoping he dies. In adult males just about all emotions come from testosterone being released telling you to enhance a pair and kick some *** til the themes solved.

Of course - apparently some humans are capable of such emotions too.

No, I believe that since animals have such small and relatively simple brains, they aren't capable of complex emotions.

Certainly other mammals have emotions, in fact most have more emotion than thought, like human babies. Less intelligent phyla must experience the world in a less intense way, but fear, lust and anger emerge a very long way down the Tree Of Life.

I think some animals are able to have some emotions. Fear is a common emotion with animals, and you an tell when many animals are happy. I think sometimes we humans think they are feeling our emotions, when they are just spaced out and appreciate the attention!

I think so, just different from us...we have a self awareness they don't. but my dog gets really jealous of attention to other pets in the house, pride...not so much, resentment...she gets annoyed when I leave for work, she loves me...definatley and has stronger feelings for certain people. Hate...don't even go there, she hates chihuahua's..

I do, but unlike humans they are unable to display these as we can -- obviously. I have been able to recognize when dogs become jealous or upset, but I have not been able to tell if they have pride or resentment. Perhaps only other animals can distinguish the feelings that they might have.
