Enough with the foolishness already, English will never be replaced. It may be side-by-side with Spanish, but I doubt it will even go that far. The immigrants that are coming in (legal and illegal) are trying to learn English if only so that they have a better chance at the jobs. Learning english is a requirement for the legal ones, and the illegal ones are trying to learn it (and often do) so that they can continue to work here.

Never, read the American history. When this country began, there were more languages than English. As time progressed, other foreigners with different languages like Italian, Russian, German, Japanese, etc. came to America. Never did the language change. This question is too xenophobic for my taste.

No, never. English is the language of so many businesses all over the world. Commerce needs that reliable link. I get a sense of racism in the this question. You might think Mandarin Chinese, the fastest growing language study worldwide.

Hopefully never, this isnt Mexico or Spain. No offense to anyone, but neither of those countries have English as the main language, so why expect it from us.

No its coexisting , most people know a little spanish anyways. It will continue to coexist as long as there are people who speak english and people who speak spanish .
