I have a final hearing 40 days from now. Wife wants our three homes....but has offered small settlement. Isn't WV a 50/50 state? We were married 23 years....but I'm told the woman always wins?

My wife and I own three homes, and have contributed roughly the same financially. Have been married 23 years. She wants all the money and all three houses. My attorney is 80 years old and says "let her have em". Isn't WV a 50/50 state? I don't want to go to court....but shouldn't I be entitled to something after all those years?

The latter has info on property division.

I don't think the woman always wins nowadays.

Good luck.

For heavens sake dump your senile lawyer and get someone who has the energy to protect your interests. There is no reason for your wife to be given all your JOINT property. Fight for what is yours by both law and moral right.

You need a new lawyer. Get that final hearing delayed.
