We did not help bomb Lebanon. We have provided Israel with the weapons that their military uses. We tried to stay neutral through the whole thing and we were also the main force in the cease fire.
As far as aid the United States it the most charitable country in the entire world through our entire history, and will continue to do so. The fighting was against Hezbollah and not Lebanon. The Hezbollah fighters hid behind innocent Lebanese citizens to fight their war as cowards. Those innocent people got hurt and lost a great deal. Not only the U.S. should help but all the countries of the world should. But most are not.

Please, they sent them almost no aid. There was $40,000,000,000 dollar's worth of damage inflicted. The US sent only $230,000,000 dollars. That's 5% of the amount of money it would take to repair Lebanon physically, without taking into account the irreperable damage to the civilian population. They shouldn't have said it was OK for Israel to bomb Lebanon in the first place, but the least they could do was send aid.

Hezbollah made Israel bomb them and they hid in civilian area and caused a lot of people to die but now they are giving money to civilians. They are buying the people of Lebanon so they will support them.

Why do the bullied inevitably stand up to the bully? They have to. Does that mean they shouldn't help the bully back off the ground? The Lebanese are not innocent here, nor are the Israelis. But if it will keep them from killing one another for a while why not feed them and tend to their wounds. Ooh we are bad. We sell people weapons they ask for and can get elsewhere to protect themselves which they do and then we go that extra mile and help the people they attack, the same people who have been attacking them with arms they purchased from the Russians and the Chinese. Funny, I think I see the Russians and Chinese doing the same thing. We're not bad guys. We just can't stop people from fighting.

Becauase Hezbollah needs to be rooted out, but the innocent civilians deserve to be left alone. Do what you can to hurt the enemy but help the innocent.
