i dont know, i start my freshman year on the 5th. and most of the people from my middle school are going to diff high school. only about 6 are going to mine. so i know about 6 people out of 2000 and i dont have classes with any of them so far, (our scheduled didnt match) so im guessing mine will suck. and im not racist but my school is full of hispanics/blacks etc. and none of the guys there are hott. and that might be an issue.

My first day at high-school was one of the most strangest days in my life, I was so confused and worried. I was a freshman and the high-school was a mystery to me I wouldn't know what I was up against. Now I am in my last year, the feeling is like then but I feel a lot more mature and determined. It was a strange evolution and I can't believe the years passed so fast. Good luck, by the way, it will be a very confusing time now for you. I can't say what will happen in the future, but try to stay focused.

Although I'm going to be in 10th grade this year, I'm going into the high school. My high school is for 10-12 graders due to a massive population increase in my commuinty.
I'm pretty nervous like many of these people here, but just breathe. It sounds clincqe, but you'll get through it.
Needless to say, on the first day of school, I need to change my schedule. Hopefully none of you guys will have to start going to a new, bigger school and trying to head for the guidance office.

school is how you make it..i'm in 10th grade now...many people will talk about you...just be comfortable with yourself and don't fight back if they see it has no affect then they'll find a new target...also don't discriminate...as soon as you become part of a "group" the intolerance rises...hang out with many people even if they are "losers"...never fight, it doesn't accomplish anything. stay focused on your work in high school it's very easy to fall behind and very hard to catch back up. Good Luck

I just started 9th grade this year...3 weeks ago.
I hate how everybody makes a big deal about high school, teenagers, and being popular.
Ewwww....Can't I just be a normal 14 year old girl, in ninth grade, who doesn't wear makeup, who gets annoyed when people bother me, who wants to go to harvard get a phd and be a psychologist.
High School is stupid.

My frist day was Aug. 8 of this year. I was nervous the day before and on the bus. I guess i couldn't believe it! It seemed as if I was just getting out of kindergarten. But it was great I realized that most groups of friends in Jr. HIGH split up.
