I see a lot of hatred toward ex President Clinton on Yahoo Answers. My question is do you seriously hate his policies and what he did as President or just the fact that he cheated on his wife? Please answer truthfully.

I think the fact that he cheated on his wife has nothing to do with his presidency. He made many mistakes as the president, but the Monica thing is and should only be between 3 people, him, his wife and Monica.

I am sure Clinton can light up a cigar have some drinks with you, tell jokes and you would have a blast with him, not doubt. The guy is incredibly charasmatic.

I think he was a bad president. He rode the coattails of the Republican's for the economy, that is debateable, I understand.
The World Trade Center was bombed in 93 and he did nothing about it. Bin Laden was offered to us on a silver platter and his lawyer advisors advised against it, so we let him go, literally.
He is a scumbag for sleeping with Monica, it was disrespectful for his office as president and was disrespectful for his country. The acts he did with her are not the big deal here, that is not the big problem. He lied under oath, and he only had one hand on the wheel on the job, that is a big problem. Remember the night before Monica was to testify, he sent off bombs? That was a cause for impeachement right there.
He refused to send help to Africa and 5 million Africans were slaughtered. Blacks love him so much, but he turned every boat from Haiti right around and offered them no help, on many occasions.

The last night of his presidency he pardoned many people who he should not have. He pardoned the biggest white collar criminal ever, while sleeping with her ex wife. She donated a million bucks to his library as well.
Clinton and Gore received lots of money from the Chinese, which is illegal. Right after that China mysteriously obtained US secrets and technology. Gore played dumb, said he went to the bathroom right when the money changed hands. The Buddhist Temple scandal.
Political Correctness really took off during his administration.
The economy started tanking his last year in office.
He paid more attention to polls. He brokered a deal with N Korea. N Korea broke the deal, he was notified, but did nothing about it.
I can go on and on. Now, I won't be one of those that says all he did was bad, that isn't true. I will be fair. He managed the economy well, he was better for the environment, though he did nothing for alternative fuels and to promote conservation.
For the record, Clinton enabled or gave Haliburton their first no bid contracts, that was Clinton's doing, not Bush.
Clinton, like Nixon, went after enemies using the IRS. He audited many people he didn't like, scary. Hillary was behind this (says Dick Morris, former Clinton advisor), she also wanted to wire tap enemies, ala Nixon or Soviet Union, yeah!
I don't hate Clinton, I think he did a lot more wrong than right. But he was a fantastic speaker and communicator. I didn't vote for him, didn't sell me. However, I respect his moxy and I trust him a lot more than Hillary, believe me.

in accordance with contemporary events i might say in all probability "No". inspite of the undeniable fact which you will no longer "ignore" Clinton she is the 1st lady to earnings delegates in the two party at the same time as working for the Democratic Nomination for President. you apart from mght can no longer ignore Geraldine Ferraro the 1984 Democratic nominee for Vice-President. Why does it take 24 years for yet another lady to run for the two the president or vp? an exciting individual to earnings in this count is Jeannette Rankin the 1st lady Congresswoman who grew to become into elected on November 7, 1916 she grew to become into elected to the abode of Representatives as a Republican (stunning!!!) from Montana, growing to be to be the 1st lady member of Congress. The nineteenth modification (which gave women persons the splendid to vote everywhere interior the U. S.) grew to become into no longer ratified till 1920 so Rankin's first term in Congress (1917-1919), women persons in the process the rustic did no longer have the splendid to vote. parent that one out!

First, I voted for him rather belatedly, twice.
Second, I am no big fan.
He never raised the minimum wage.
He turned his back on campaign finance reform.
He refused to back the whistleblower who squealed on the Dimanche torture chamber in Haiti.
That´s for starters.Every time the reactionaries threw a fit he backed down.
Balanced the budget. Big plus. Yes.Kept Hussein in his hole, yes.
Returned Gonzalez to his dad, yes. Finally some principle showing but considering his close relationship to Chelsea, I can understand he takes parenting seriously as a personal issue. I don´t see much integrity in other respects.

the clinton years were most notable in his handling of the economy more than anything else...it is indeed tragic that a president's personal life is put into such great focus of attention when it seems to be irrelevant to his public performance..fortunately most americans seem to have looked past clinton's personal follies and i bet he would've won a third term had he been allowed to run again
