im attending school right now and my internet in my dorm works great its highspeed everything is good there but for some reason no one can dl music on p2p network i know its bad and wrong but im just asking why would we not be able to connect to the p2p sharing data bases and whats the deal with them sayin your not allowed to look at porn while your at school? why would that be a restriction?????? any help would be great

You are restricted by a proxy server that you are using to access the internet. The proxy server and firewall is blocking certain sites, etc...

I don't know how much longer you have left of college but get in the frame of mind right now that your schooling is work. Which of course it is, but think of it as a work environment. A work place will not allow you to look at porn. A work place will not allow you to download music. Lots of colleges have had lawsuits against them for allowing students to download music because of illegal file sharing. They are also keeping the teachers and professors out of those areas to. You might laugh at the thought because you are young but some of them old farts love to look at porn. Enjoy your college days and be safe.

relies upon what college/Universtiy you visit. They hardly block specific sites (till you visit a non secular college) yet they often limit torrents and so on. With the college community inspite of the undeniable fact that bittorrent is ubiquitous because of the fact each little thing is on the school community. At my uni we performed Xbox community video games so it would artwork
