When someone says that you have baggage it means that you come with other issues or problems that might be an issues for them in getting close to you. You have have unresolve hurts from past relationships and you "appear" not to completely over those hurts or have too much anger about a situation in your life and you can't seem to move on.
A lot of time people say that children in a new relationship is baggage. So if someone tells you that you have baggage, examine what you have told them about you and your past. If you talk about something in your life a little to often to this person, you might have baggage to them. REMEMBER it's all their opinion though. Examine yourself first.

You ask a fair question. I'll try to answer it as best I can.

What it means when someone says I come with baggage. It means they have issues that come with them (could be ex-wifes, husbands, family issues, any kind of issue or problem).

I hope this clears things up a little. I"m hoping you'll get more responses on this so you can understand.

Baggage as a feeling means that: the beliefs and feelings that you have which influence how you think and behave.
Example of the sentence: "We all carry a lot of emotional baggage around with us".

"baggage" means old stuff in your life about relationships, and in particular about a former lover, relationship, boyfriend, husband and all the problems/baggage of the break up that you can't forget, and want to tell the new bf. New people don't want to hear about how much you dislike former people in your life.

It means they have issues and are sticklers on certain issues, usually stemming from a past experience that happened several times and made them believe certain things. ie They might be difficult to relate to due to their past. Such people tend to be set in their ways.

It means they have some personal problems that they are dealing with. To enter a relationship with them means to have to put up with their problems as well. Appreciate their honesty.
