Acting--American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco
Directing--Yale School of Drama
Both-- NYU (Tisch School of Drama), University of Texas, Austin

Well, you need to be a little more specfic here. Are you intending to study Acting or Directing? Most programs will necessarily require you to specialize in one or the other...although, if you're diligent, you can probably create opportunities for yourself to at least dabble in the other.
Are you headed for undergraduate school? Graduate? This makes a difference, too.
