Conservatives, just like liberals, think that their way is better. Yes, wars cost money. Then again, liberals know how to spend money too. Usually they dump it into social programs and call it "redistribution of wealth". The "fiasco" in Iraq was expected. Anyone who thought it wouldn't turn out like it did is naive. As long as there are militant groups in the Middle East that hate the U.S and Democracy and freedom(especially the freedom to practice a religion other than Muslim) there will always be instability there. Does that mean we were wrong for going in? I don't think so. At least the atrocities are not being perpetrated by the dictatorship that was in power before. Is there still violence? Yes. However, the violence is on a much smaller scale now and the government there is actually using it's power to fight against the terrorists instead of working with them and committing genocide against minority factions that aren't in power. The conservatives didn't divide the country. It has always been divided. There is no way that a country the size of the U.S. is going to have 100% agreement on all major policies. When there are major world events that take place during a president's term, as they have in Bush's; from September 11 to Hurricane Katrina to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, It brings to the forefront in our society a constant reminder of just how different our political viewpoints can be.

Your moronic post shows how little you actually know. Liberals think the same. BTW when did Conservatives become wrong and entire world was made uop of Liberals? The "fiasco" as you call it has actually improved in recent weeks but Liberal media wont show that. that is why I get my news from both sides of fence this means CNN and FOX. Oh yes back to your "fiasco" which was overwhelmingly approved by Congress which included John Kerry and Joe Liberman! Now lets talk deficit. 1st Congress approved all monies spent it was Bush alone!! So who you gonna blame? 2nd and most important is you have no clue how economics works! I sat down with a Professor of Economics at a local University (who had no party leanings) he explained it to me very simply. We falsely blame Presidents for poor economy! Here is how he explained it! When one makes an adjustment (new bills higher rate new credit card etc etc) it effects our personal finances or our person economy. Now when our cable bill goes up by $10.00 it wont take place for a month. Now paying the extra $10.00 wont effect our budget for at least a month after that! Anyone who does their own budget knows this. Now any minor changes will impact your personal economoy very slowly if at all. Some major changes like $200.00 rent raise more quickly. Still though 30 - 60 days is norm for any impact in its early stages! Simple? yes and true if you do your budget you know this. Now let change from your family to country of nearly 300 million! the impact times change drastically because the changes must first impact residents thsi will take minimum of 30 - 60 days. These changes effect buisneeses add several months or even a year to that. Thsi goe son an don until it impact USA economy as a whole! This process takes anywhere from 3 - 9 years! Now some unknowns play into picture like War but overall impact time is right. With that knowledge then we fasley blamed Bush for saging economy when it was Clintons actions that got us to where we are. This also suggest that Reagoniomics worked whihc why we saw good economy during Clinton years only to slow down towards end thsi would be about time many of Clinton's actions took effect. so know of what you speak before you say it! Since I disagreed with your view and proved you wrong I wont expect best answer lol. BTW the entire world is NOT made up of Liberals if it was you would have won last two elections!!

Conservatives do have a better understanding of how to run the US government. Liberals tax and spend. Actions taken by conservatives work. Lower taxes helped our economy get turned around. I cannot see how the economy can be any better. The unemployment rate, lowered by lowering taxes, is as low as it has ever been. Conservatives put the clamps on welfare and even that help improve the economy.
Conservatives are for less government and less spending. We frequently had deficits in the past and they have hurt no one. Deficits are caused by too much spending (Everyone in Congress and in the Administration are to blame) and not by cutting taxes.
Conservatives are willing to take on and fight terrorists whereas Liberals try to hide from them, appease them, act like it the US at fault for terrorism.
The problems in Iraq are caused by Islamo-muslim terrorists who are killing other muslims and arabs. That is just plain stupid.
The US is not messed up. It is and has been the best country on earth. We have the best of everything, and still you complain.
If there is any division in the country, it is caused by people like you; crying with a loaf of bread under each arm. Bellyaching because you are allowed to bellyache.
If you have the money, time and the nerve, live somewhere else for a month. I suggest anywhere in Africa, or anywhere in Asia, except Hong Kong.

I have no problem with conservatives. We don't agree on everything except to disagree. The problem I have is with the people calling the shots are who are Neocons who don't know what they are doing. They used Bush's appeal with the religious right to get him elected so they could press their agenda and world view. Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz and Cheney were calling for a US invasion of Iraq 5 years before 9/11. I don't believe in conspiracy theories about 9/11 but I do believe it was used as an excuse to go into Iraq. The war was marketed like a box of cereal and america bought it.

learned WHAT? that a disturbing portion of the general public are extremely suseptible to anti-american propaganda? what exactly do you think the 'deficit' is? does the 'deficit' affect your taxes, wellfare, everyday life? no. then why, i wonder are there all these liberals complaining about it, do you know? Iraq is in no way a fiasco, it is a plain and simple victory, pay attention! you obviously have no accurate information, and are just sowing seeds of discontent.

The extreme right-wingers are also usually extremely religious, and ANY extremist believes that their way is the only way.
I think what the country really wants is a nice balance between the extremes, but we're only ever offered one side or the other.

Conservatives are not always right and "the world" (who exactly is that?) always wrong....but time has proven conservatives right more often....and though I am not a betting man I would rather be on the side most often correct - not perfect or without errors - but most often correct.

Because if most conservatives had two brain cells, they'd have a crowed. But, that would be double what Bushey has. You can't teach people who refuse to learn and who think they're always right.
