I used to get my Yahoo mail through Outlook/Outlook Express using the pop3 configuration.
Then Yahoo decided to charge for it.
With all the email providers available, I refuse to pay a fee.
Unless you have too much money...get your email online or use a different provider.

you can do as i have done... download Ypops and install it and then use outlook express.. this method is free....

I don't believe Yahoo supports POP downloading, unless you have a sbcglobal.net account...
