At one time I would have said no. But I have finally decided that this is me no matter what others think, and my husband loves the way I look. There's too much emphasis put on looks say in movies and on TV. I've always had more guy friends than girl friends and have grown up hearing guys opinions about the women they see on TV. So I grew up thinking that I couldn't possibly be attractive to anyone without looking like a model or something. My ex husband and ex fiance did nothing to help my self esteem (I'm sorry to say). But my husband has been very patient and loving, and now I know that I'm fine the way I am. Not trying to be conceited or anything, but there are lots of guys that would find me attractive the way I am.

I can not believe some of the responses you have received! When you look in the mirror, you need to be happy with what you feel inside yourself. If you are a wonderful human being and have something to offer to society, then you are beautiful in the eyes of most people. Remember that you do not have control of other people and their feelings/opinions . Everyone has one! Don't depend on others to make YOU happy!!

Funny you asked this question on today of all days. I was looking at myself in the mirror last night and almost got sick because of how bad I look. It is easy to cover up with the right clothes, but when you are overweight it is hard to love what it right in front of you. I have covered up the mirror so that I can only see my face enough to get makeup on and go to work, but I will not look at myself again until I am able to get 20 lbs off. Not every female body is beautiful....at least not mine.

When I look in the mirror I am happy, I have lived with this body almost 26 years and I love it. Sure there are things I would change and I have the infamous c-section tummy... but hey, God made me this way, my son was f ormed in my womb and came out via lower abdomin and I deserve to respect a little bit of wear and tear... come on... there is no such thing as perfect.... if there is... I don't want to know how much it costs.

Mostly, it is a big spiral that keeps women unhappy with their bodies. They start a diet and after 4 days of hard work, they go and engorge themselves with food, after which they regret it and swear it will never happen again. After these happens many, many times, in their lifetimes, it makes for one giant mental block that keeps them from being strong enough to follow any diet or exercise program. Some criticize other women to try to unconsciously make others a little miserable, just like they are. It's true that most of us are no airheaded supermodels, but a woman needs to understand there are other much more subtle things that make her sexy, such as trusting herself.

I do, becuase Im skinny (not trying to be concited). I may not like how my face looks sometimes, but I am generaly happy with my self.
Its cool that u asked this question today, becuase today I changed the order of my room, so I spent like half hou on my bed looking at myself in a mirror, listning to ,music.
I realy think that God was in a good mood when he made me :)
I really dont understand why people do terrible things to their bodies! Ex- people being annorexic, bulemic, doing harmful drugs, and many other things. I say, if you want to lose weight, dont stop eating till you are wayy too skinny, eat HEALTHY, the results will come later with hard work and determination. I cant really see why people do drugs, its DISCUSTING and really not good for you.
in matter of fact, sometimes I be a little dorky and say thank you to my body for not turning against me, and it thanks me for not harming it :D
lol

Yes it is...Even at my age...the body stays very much like when you were young, if you take care of yourself...doing 200 situps a day keeps your tummy flat and walking three miles is excellent for you...Love yourself no matter what, you are God's creation, after all.

It is not our bodies that makes us look beautiful but what is inside our heart. When we see beauty inside of us then everything is beautiful and this is how the world sees us then. We all our beautiful, after all we are the creation of God

mostly yes, but being a plus size woman in a world that directs everything at a size 3 can get to you sometimes. i had one of those days recently, only to come home to an email offering me the opportunity to model for a lingerie catalog (which carries all sizes) so, its always up and down :-)
