Stripping the wire, opening the case and connecting the correct parts might work, other than that, I have never held a PSP so I don't know if it has a USB port or not. They might make a converter too, check some local gaming stores.

1. Click the Media Center button in the top right of us.playstation.com. Select the PSP™ Downloads tab.
2. Sort through PSP™ Downloads to find what you'd like to download
3. Click "Start PSP™ Download" button
4. Review and accept the Download agreement
5. When the window appears select "Save File" (the exact window will depend on your browser) and save the file to your computer
6. Connect your PSP™ to your computer via USB (Note: a USB A to mini b cable is required)
7. Turn on your PSP™ and select USB Connection under the Settings item in the Cross Media bar
8. A new folder should pop up on your computer. Transfer the extracted content to your Memory Stick Duo™:
- For video, copy the file to the MP_ROOT\100MNV01 directory
- For images, copy the file to PSP\PHOTO
- For game updates, follow the directions for the specific download
