I just finished The Things Between Us by Lee Montgomery and was moved by her powerful memoir about her dying father, alcoholic mother and distant siblings. If you've read it, I'd be very interested in your feedback. Did you feel the book was absent or full of self-pity?

This is a very bittersweet story because of the contrasting emotions that the author is feeling throughout. I believe that many people can relate to this story and could tell a similar story, though not as beautifully as Lee.
