What you wear or don't wear is entirely a personal choice. If other people aren't going topless, it's a clue that you won't fit in at that venue without your shirt.

I don't mind seeing anyone topless - I'm a lifetime nudist. However, some people do mind; some establishments will not serve you if you are topless. I cannot think of any outdoor venue where it would be inappropriate though - in parks, out walking the neighborhood, hiking, whatever.

Incidentally, if your intention is to advertise so as to get a date, be aware that a lot of men are going to be better toned or buffed than you, and they may not be interested in you; similarly, many interesting people will ignore you because they'll think you are just into looks, which is a very shallow view of life.

Well, perhaps you like to show off a little bit. This is not unhealthy. All of us do, in different degrees. The trick is, in my opinion, to show off without appearing to be doing so. So, if you enjoy going shirtless, do it only in the appropriate places and on the appropriate occasions.

For example, don't go shirtless if the weather is not really warm, or if no person around you is shirtless too. If you do, you will probably call the attention, and this can be read as bad taste by many people. Even if you don't care about what people say or think, why should you expose yourself to unwanted criticism?

So go ahead and be shirtless whenever you can , in the clubs, while riding your bike and when you're jogging. I don't mind!

Keep your shirt on in a public place. Go to the beach, the swimming pool, or your own backyard to go shirtless.
