First let me state clearly 1) that I am NOT ANTI MUSLIM and 2) that I am somewhat sympathetic to the Muslim people especially to the Palestinian people living in the West Bank and Gaza. and 3) I know that sometimes people's lives are so desparate that they are driven to desparate acts. But this is not always the case with suicide bombers. Too often innocent lives are lost, including children. Please do not refer to the American and israeli bombs that kill hundreds of people every day. I know about them and I do not condone them either. The question is addressed only to Muslims. Why do people become suicide bombers? I simply can't believe that it is because they believe they will go directly to heaven where they will be greeted by 29 virgins or whatever the number is. Sorry for such a long explanation. You can be as long or brief as you wish as long as you speak from your heart.

I'm a Muslim, Suicide bombers was not started by Muslims, it was started by the Japanese long time ago, as for the reason for Muslim suicide bombing it is that it is the only way the Palestinians could reach Israel, Palestinians have no weapons what so ever, they cannot fight bank, they cannot stand against the great force of Israel, but they need to do something because their people are getting killed each and everyday in the west bank, so, it was the only way they can fight back and to show the Israelis the pain they go through everyday when their young men are killed, but it seems the idea is now used to kill everybody and that is very wrong, I mean it is terrible what is going on in Iraq . there is a suicide bomber everyday, and the attempts in all around the world. As for the reason, it is not heaven or promised virgins, I think they are desperate in the West bank and nothing more, when a young man sees his family killed he needs to do something, as for the rest of the attempts around the world, either it is a great brainwash, or a bigger force is helping, I do not believe that Arabs or Muslims themselves alone were capable of doing the 9/11 on their own, I feel there was a plot, and still is...

I'm not muslim but i think suicide bombing is sacred to them.

It shows the greatest commitment a person could ever give.

Like the samurai when they commit seppuka to restore their honour.

In the world war 2, americans that sacrificed themselves for the sake of their allies achieved great honour in dieing for their country.

The purpose of joining the army is to die.

There is nothing like joining the army and hoping not the to die.

You fight for what you believe in, because u are on the loosing side doesnt mean that your the bad one.

e.g If germany had win the world war 2, they would become the good guys and everyone would be the bad guys.

Also when the british people that lived in america betrayed england and fought to have their own land during the american revolution.

during the war americans was called the traitors, but since they win, they considered themselves good.

There is no good and bad in the universe, only the point of veiw how you look at things.

except for the 10 commandments.

Islam does not permit suicide for its followers.
Same is true for other major religions.
This conflict between Israelis and Arabs is very different. The Israelis formed and illegal country in the middle of the Muslims, and grabbed land for the Palestinians, and left millions of them as refugees, leaving them with nothing except their bodies to sacrifice. This became a trend among the palestinians to sacrifice what ever was left of them, thus giving the Non-muslims and Israeleis a famous Propaganda tool against the Muslims about their suicide missions. suicide has nothing to do with religion Islam. Its the ultimate revenge against the ememy, who stole their Land, demolished their homes, killed their children and wives, fathers and mothers, and continue to do so as of today with their most superior weapons. The ratio of deaths on both side of the Lebanon and Israeli sides alone can tell the story of this shamless massacre by the israeli which is much worse than suicide mission.

Many reasons: one being a form of empowerment. For peoples who feel dispossessed or politically oppressed, participating in terrorist activities is a way of finding empowerment in a situation where people perceive no other choice exists.

Then there is the immigrant aspect where 84% of terrorists were second generation immigrants born in Western countries. Turning to the jihad is a response of the alienation and discrimination they feel in their new countries.

Also, Muslims join the global jihad primarily through interpersonal relationships, and not because of their prior beliefs or psychological makeup. It’s sort of like the emotion and social ties precede the acquisition of an ideology.

All in all, social networks remain the primary mechanism by which mobilization occurs. Why does it occur because according the Encyclopedia of… they are the enemy of Islam.

I'm not Muslim, but I could relate to Mexicans coming in from the South and blowing themselves up in local Sbarros within the Southwest, because this land used to belong to Mexico. I also would understand if American Indians began blowing themselves up on city buses in Omaha, because it was once their land. But then I would have to support Jewish suicide bombings in the Gaza, because the land once belonged to Jews before Rome threw them out, and then I would have to trace DNA back to the Philistines, and see if they are up for blowing themselves up because the land was technically theirs before it became Israel 3,000 + years ago.

All of your rules to your question are simply leading you to reasons for supporting suicide bombers. It sounds to me like you already have your mind made up and you're just looking for a justification to your biased reason. Is your question truly valid? If so, why so many rules to it? Are you afraid someone may break your rules and hit you with hard truth?

People use suiciding bombing because they feel they have no other choice. Beating up on oppressed, poor people will result in suicide bombings because that is the only weapon they have left.
