One must die for the other to live.....that's what the book said. So either way, Harry or Voldemort has to die. But let's think for a second: if Harry dies, Voldemort will most likely live, and since we have enough depressing books with the Lemony Snicket series, I'd like to think that wouldn't be the end of it. If Voldemort dies, Harry will most likely live, and as another poster pointed out, poor J.K. will be besieged by fans like us for just one more Potter book. The other alternative is that they BOTH die, therefore ending any and all speculation, and stopping any questions....I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Harry will die a martyr, he'll go out fighting, and he'll kill Voldemort, even if he does die in the struggle....

I hope Harry Potter does not die before 20 years old but I think Harry is tied to Voldemort. I think to destroy Voldemort is to also destroy Harry. I would like to see J.K. Rowling do better and find a way to save Harry.

My prediction is that Harry will die. Just so poor J.K. will never suffer from 40 years of fan mail begging her to write "just ONE more book about Harry. Of course, Ron and Hermione could always marry each other, have a son and name him Harry.

...but the very sound of "Harry Weasley" really makes me smirk... might be why I'm fond of the idea. : )

I really don't want Harry to die, since he is my favorite character, but I think he will because something major has to happen at the end of the book (and Harry having to sacrifice himself in order to kill Voldemort falls under that category). hehe. But otherwise, I definitely agree that Hagrid is on the hit list, and maybe Luna and Ron. It's so sad!!

If in fact, she is part of the mafia now, she will certainly "whack" him. LOL

I think it's a good possibility. I mean, I'm sure she wants to go out with a bang, make Harry a true hero. Also, no one wants to see Harry as a grown man, that sounds like a SNL skit. JK should cut all possibilities of that.

Well, yes. Both Harry and Voldermort will die. When doesn't this woman kill someone in any of her books. Unfortunately as fans we can't pick and choose who gets "whacked".

I certainly didn't want Dumbledore to die. But we can't pick and choose who dies, can we?

Of course not. She'll kill off anyone but harry. Maybe Percy will be sleeping with the fishes. But seriously I think Hagrid is on the hit list.
