Do make sure it's not too warm. It will break very easily if it is. In the summer, I keep mine in the fridge.
Only roll up about 1/2 inch. If you don't like the point, you can simply cut it off and put it in a small jar and use a lip brush so it's not wasted.
In fact, you should use a lip brush all the time.

I don't understand what you're saying exactly, but the best way to apply lipstick is to start out with a lipbalm as a primer. Use Burt's Beeswax or something, that usually works. Then, fill in your intire lips with a lipliner in the color of your lipstick or in a translucsent shade. Next take your lipstick in whatever color you choose apply it on your lips. Last, take a clear gloss and dap it on the middle of your lips to give you a fresh, young look. Your lipstick should stay on all day this way.

Try using a lip brush. If the lipstick color doesn't show up on the brush then try putting a little bit of lipgloss on the brush ans then get the lipstick on it.

i guess the most logical thing to do is to not extend the lipstick up so far that the whole stick is visible. Only extend it up as high as you need to to apply.

Use a lip brush. You dab the brush on the lipstick, then paint on your lips.

maybe you should try to exfoliate your lips first, so the lipstick goes on smooth: try a little sugar and lip balm mix the two and rub on your lips! feels great.
