I was actually just reading about this. You should avoid sleeping on your back/stomach no later than 3 months, because it can impair the blood supply to your baby. Congrats!

The best (meaning considered healthiest by the medical profession) is to sleep on your left side... this promotes good blood flow for you and baby. However being that I am 9 months pregnant and am MUCH more comfortable on my right side.. and being comfortable means more sleep for me.... take that for what it is worth.

I am 29 weeks and the last time I slept on my stomach was around the 3rd or 4th month.

i have never heard of it not being safe. i would tend to think that your belly sleeping days are over when it becomes uncomfortable.

Sleep anyway you want as long as it's comfortable for you & your belly.

Get the book "What to expect when you're expecting" and save it for the next ones, too..! Also, get "What to expect the 1st year" C'mon, Mom...! Get with it...!
