Wow, thats a very good question. I suppose my favorite historical figure would be Audie Murphy. Yeah, he was a movie star, but he was a hero in the war also. Seems that if we had more people with his heart and courage in this world, people in general might just be more caring and loving of others not so fortunate as themselves.

Hate to be really obvious, but Alexander the great... I know people will pick huge historical figures (well, I say huge but he was actually pretty short...) but he's someone I've been fascinated by for years.
