Not used so much in the USA .You can name him or her anything you want. Think about the child growing up with the name first

If you're meaning titles as, "Sir William" or "Miss Mary" they can be used, particularly as a sign of showing respect. "Sir William" is archaic in America, but "Miss Mary" could be used by a child addressing an older woman as signifying respect for her elders.

Never use the term "Maid Mary" for any woman here; you might get a boot thrown at you.
