There is a guy that I have been knowing all mylife. My aunt is married to his uncle. We have always known each other to be "my cousin". We have never expressed any intimate feelings towards one another until just one week ago. Of course we are both adults now. I am 24 and he is 30. I called his sister just to say hi, and when I asked how he was doing she said that he was doing fine and that he had not had any children or have gotten married. I don't have any children either, but I have been married once. I asked her "girl what is he waiting for?" And she replied "you." So I called him and we have been talking everyday since, but I am not sure if we should date because our families are "old fashioned" and probably would not see the "non relation."

That is really hard to choose from, because he's family (by marrige) and what would your family think? BUT, if you really like him and you wouldn't want anything to get in the way, then i think you should talk to your mom or dad or whatever...someone family and ask them what you should do...they would be the ones to tell you the truth, they know you both more, so you'd have to see what they think. I think it would be kinda grose, but who knows...just sit and talk with your family and see where that goes. Good Luck & God Bless!!

Other people may see something wrong with it, but I don't. You're only related to him by marriage, not blood. If you really care about him, go for it! You have to just deal with the rude remarks other people may make because they don't understand your situation and how you feel. If you tell your family how you really feel, they might understand.

Follow your hert and get to know your "cousin"...he is not really related by blood, so I would take it extremely slow, and see what comes of it. As you said, you are grown...forget your families' opinions...I am sure you have some about their lives as well, but they are just that...OPINIONS!

Why, if you want to you should. You're not related by blood or anything. You're not cousins. I'd go for it if I were you.
