It's not so much of an issue for me, rather I'm afraid I might appear weak in front of them *I know, it's an ego thing*
But moreover, it's just not "pretty" to divulge your innermost secret to anyone much less a stranger.
I mean you need to be discreet sometimes too. There's a time & place for these things.
However, if they were someone I knew I could count upon, I'd probably let them know eventually. I would be reluctant first, as I don't want them to worry but it'll be revealed sooner or later.

Yeah, if you know you have AIDS, you would most certainly be afraid to tell that special someone your problem, because it is actually their problem.
