Executive -- President, cabinet, other administrative agencies. Executes and administers laws passed by Congress.

Legislative -- Senate and House of Representatives. Passes laws, oversees federal agencies.

Judicial -- Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, other federal courts. Interprets laws and determines constitutionality.
