I can't seem to find the relevant symbol on my keyboard

the most accurate calculation is about 100 billion (100 000 000 000) digits long.

well thats what it when i was in uni in 2000. its probably more now.

Although I'm sure you MEANT pi as a decimal you didn't actually say so, hence the 22/7 is absolutely spot on.

The decimal part of pi is transfinite, NOT infinite, but you would have to be a mathematician to understand the difference.

You don't have to go to Greece to get the symbol for pi on yr keyboard: go to 'Start' (bottom left of yr screen), select 'All Programs', select 'Accessories', select 'System Tools', select 'Character Map'. Here you will find various signs, symbols, and non-English letters that you can program onto your keyboard using combinations of keystrokes; I'm virtually certain it will include the Greek letters, I know it includes Scandinavian ones!

Why is that a stupid question? The link below descibes the determination of the first 206 billion digits. That was 7 years ago, though, so I'm sure someone has done more.

As far as your keyboard goes, I suggest buying one in Greece.

You can get a program called Super Pi that is used as benchmarking software for PC's that can calculate pi to millions of digits.

Gas mark 4 / 350c for 30min , then turn / baste and cook for a further 30min until golden Brown... ( yes ... its more exiting than PI ) that's for desert.. 3,14 gas mark 3 , 10min .... nuff said.

Well they've figured it out to hundreds of thousands of places, but 3.14159 will do nicely.
