I personally was underwhelmed by Spiderman. So much of it was computer animation that they might as well have made it as a cartoon, then I wouldn't have had to watch Toby Maguire mope for most of the movie.

I agree. I usually like Toby Maguire but I thought his take on Spiderman was depressing.

it's an ok movie.. i'm not too bothered with the cgi as i am with mary jane, the osbornes, and the second half of the movie. Dunst doesn't resemble mary jane, and james franco was terrible. I like William Defoe, but wasn' too crazy about the green goblin character.. the scenes leading up to parker becoming spiderman were enjoyable, then everything seemed to go downhill. it was fun watching it in the theater though. does anyone own it now on dvd? not me. similar complaints about spidey 2. maybe the third installment will be a better, darker storyline... like batman returns was to its predecessors.

HELL YEAH! Finally someone that agrees with me! After a while, I got sick of that movie. Having Macy Gray in that movie was ******** STUPID! Plus Peter was made to be emo. And the source music (not Danny Elfman's score) was sooooooooo GAY!
