I can't say I have never lied, but I don't make it a habit, for one thing, you have to have a very good memory to keep track of all of your lies, and my memory is not that good.
The most deceptive person I have ever known doesn't usually lie either. He has perfected avoidance and vague statements into a true art form!, This person simply avoids the truth, disclosing only what he wants you to know about, every subject that may include things he doesn't want known is off limits, and he will either let you know that "it's none of your F'ing business", or give vague meaningless responses when these subjects come up. Even the little things in life that most people discuss without any problem are off limits with him. He will encourage others to discuss themselves and tell their own stories, occasionally stating an opinion, asking a question, or adding his thoughts about THEIR subject or story. Usually I think they walk away not even realizing that they know very little about this persons real feelings, activities, etc., and that they have disclosed the same things about themselves that they are not allowed to know about him. I have spent WAY to much time trying to figure him out, but I find myself wondering Why is everything such a secret?

I am a very good liar, especially to people who don"t know me very well. I t has always come as a habit to make my life sound more interesting. I try not to lie to the people I really care about unless it would hurt them. I guess I learned that when I was young I could lie my way in and out of things with a straight face. I am trying to be better.
