Im a freshman now and this guy asked me out a few days ago but i told him that i'd have to think about it,i dont think im ready for a bf how do i let him down without really hurting his feelings???

Just tell him. If he's a well rounded person, he'll take it reasonably well. If he doesn't then he's got a lot more growing up to do before anyone would enjoy his company.

just tell him you're not ready for a bf, but you think he's is a really great guy. Maybe just let him take you on a group date to dinner/movie or something.
If you don't like him than just say that you really can't date until your a little older, says your mom ;)
