He was pushed by an overweight bureaucrat to make work for the Stalinist troops who had to march up the hill and put him back together again, in an obvious propaganda exercise just to keep the unwashed masses thinking that they need soldiers to protect them.
What self respecting egg would go sit on a wall anyway? It's pretty obvious whats gonna happen! I think he was forced up there in the first place.... Its all a massive conspiracy.
Of course, it could just be a nursery rhyme!

Humpty Dumpty Sat on a Wall (He was actually going AWOL)
Humpty Dumpty had a great Fall (He was "pushed .... hard!")
All the Kings Horses (they actually stomped him)
And All the Kings Men (they kicked him)
Couldn't put Humpty together again (they scrambled him)

Humpty Dumpty was a cannon, mounted at the top of St. Mary's-at-the-wall Church in Colchester. In the seige of Colchester (1648) Royalists were holding the tower, and when Parliamentarians blew the top off of the tower the cannon fell.
Royalist cavalrymen and infantry (all the kings horses and all the kings men) tried to mend the cannon, but 'couldn't put Humpty together again'.
...but I still think he was pushed!

Humity dumpitdy was "egged" to death the wall was just knocked down by the all the kings horses and all the kings men so they could hurry and egg him for being such a humpty dumpty

It was actually a canon the Colchester (UK) castle -- humpty dumpty was the largest canon they had sitting on top of the castle wall.
When it fell down -- it was so broken that the kings men could not put it back together again....
